2-stage OSB Procedure by MAIER
In the 1st stage of the 2-stage OSB procedure developed by MAIER maxi-chips with a length of 80 - 160 mm are produced by a special drum chipper (HRL/OSB).
In the 2nd stage these maxi chips are flaked to high quality strands by a MAIER Strand Flaker MSF (a special knife ring flaker).
The OSB boards made from MAIER strands fulfill quality standards up to OSB-4 and show the same optical and mechanical properties as boards produced with strands from a conventional strand production line. The MAIER 2-stage OSB procedure is worldwide patented.
