Description:
Material feeding to the drum chipper is effected by means of a vibration conveyor or a chipper feeding belt. The infeed material is seized by the specially toothed infeed rollers and continuously fed to the knife drum. The electric overload control regulates the material infeed in dependence of the loading of the main drive motor. The chip pocket is protected against early wear by means of the wear plate and the armoured pocketsurface. The infeed material is chipped by the knives to an edge lenth of 20 - 80 mm dependent on the machine rating. The chipped material passes through the refractioning grill and is discharged by a conveyor screw or a conveyor belt. The counter-knife can be inserted and removed hydraulically and is rated for heavy-duty service. It is regrindable and can be used on two sides. Divided knives, slewable clamping plates as well a hydraulic starting device allow for easy operation of the chipper.
